King of pop, king of talents

by Hertz Clyde Dézir

Millions of fans around the world will miss Michael Jackson – the king of pop – despite of scandals from child molestation charges to his plastic surgery. Michael got talents – there is no question about it. Someone doesn’t have to be a fan of his to admit it, and it’s hard to describe his talents.

Apart from his performances, he’s written songs that literally move people to tears; of course, some do fight back the tears.

Through his humanitarian-centered songs, he had such a way with drawing people’s attention to issues such as children’s well being, safeguarding the environment, promoting world peace, and protecting animals.

The Earth Song weaves all those themes under a thick umbrella, so to speak. That single from the album HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I was excellent in every aspect including the video.

Here’s an excerpt of the lyrics:

What about sunrise
What about rain
What about all the things
That you said we were to gain
What about killing fields
Is there a time
What about all the things
That you said was yours and mine
Did you ever stop to notice
All the blood we've shared before
Did you ever stop to notice
This crying Earth this weeping shores?

Aaaaaaaaah, Oooooooooh
Aaaaaaaaah, Oooooooooh

The world and the fans will miss him for years. What a great loss!
